Refund Policy
EMT Refresher "BUYER'S RIGHT TO CANCEL" The student has a right to cancel the enrollment agreement and obtain a refund. The institution shall, for all students, without penalty or obligation, refund 100 percent of the amount paid for the institutional charges, less a reasonable deposit or application fee not to exceed $100.00, if the notice of cancellation is made prior to or on the first day of instruction. Further, the student has the right to withdraw from a course of instruction at any time. A student who has completed 60 percent or less of the course of instruction shall be granted a pro rata refund of tuition and amounts paid for returnable equipment. If the student withdraws from the program of instruction after instruction has begun, the student is obligated to pay only for educational services rendered and any equipment not returned, plus the non-refundable registration fee of $25.00.

HYPOTHETICAL REFUND EXAMPLE of EMT Refresher Course: A student withdraws from the program after completing 5 hours of instruction (20%). $200.00 less $25.00 registration fee and $15.00 STRF assessment fee = $160.00 divided by 24 hours = $6.66 hourly program charge. 5 hours X $6.66 = $33.30. $160.00 less $33.30 = $126.70 refund. This calculation does not include a refund for the books.

SHIPPING CHARGES: Products are shipped either electronically or via USPS with regular mail unless express mail is purchased. No refunds for shipping costs or materials will be given.

EMT SKILLS TESTING: Students shall contact EMS training Institute, Inc. to schedule EMT skills testing. Students will be allowed to reschedule skills testing as long as contact is made with EMS Training Institute, Inc.. If a student schedules an EMT skills testing session, and then does not attend or make contact to reschedule, student forfeits enrollment charge for the scheduled session of EMT Skills Testing.

All Other Courses: Cancellations for all other courses, ie: CPR, First Aid, ACLS, Pals, etc., must be made in writing at least 7 days prior to course date. If less than 7 days, only one reschedule will be permitted if contacted prior to course date. If no contact is made, course fees will be forfeited.
If a student chooses to cancel, according to the above stated conditions, he or she must submit a written notice of cancellation to:

You must pay the state-imposed fee for the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) if all of the following applies to you: (1) you are a student, who is a California resident and prepays all or part of your tuition either by cash, guaranteed student loans, or personal loans; and (2) your total charges are not paid by any third-party payer such as an employer, government program or other payer unless you have a separate agreement to repay the third party. You are not eligible for protection from the STRF and you are not required to pay the STRF fee if either of the following applies: (1) you are not a California resident; and (2) your total charges are paid by a third party, such as an employer, government program, or other payer and you have no separate agreement to repay the third party.
