About Us

Our President and Program Director, Mark Komins, has been in Emergency Medical Services since 1989.  He has varied experiences in the private ambulance industry as well as Fire Department as an Emergency Medical Technician, CPR/First Aid instructor, Paramedic, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor, Geriatric Emergency Medical Services Instructor, and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider. 

Mr. Komins has also been an EMS Educator teaching EMT’s of the future since 1996.  He has the philosophy of providing excellent education while relating it to the practicality of realism.  To that end came the creation of EMS Training Institute, Inc.  This new source of education takes the traditional classroom environment and adds the advantages of the computer and the internet to offer online training.  Online training saves time.  Since you can conduct Online training from any computer with internet access, there is no travel time.  Also there is not wasted time conducting tasks that do not apply to you.  You can log on any hour of the day to take the training; this allows you to break up the course into smaller sections as not to impact your day to day routine.  Our Online classes are done on your schedule and you have total control over when you take it. No longer are classes that you are signed-up and waiting to take getting cancelled at the last minute.
